Something fresh and clean.

Finally, spring is really here. Sunny days, little buds on the trees, and a good soaking rain that will brighten the green and help the little peas that I planted this weekend to sprout and grow. It was time for something fresh and clean in the kitchen, so I put together a couple of pot holders from some bright scrap fabric that I had.

Though sometimes I think being left-handed would be cooler

When we moved into this apartment I realized that I didn't have any potholders, which was a problem for a frequent baker. I decided to sew some using a few layers of thin cotton quilt batting covered with a couple of layers of fabric. I often dream up complex sewing projects, but it is so satisfying to make something so simple, useful and bright.
